666JILI App Limit: End a Browser Session on Time
An app limit is a daily time cap your phone enforces.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Choose the length first |
| Step 2 | Set an app timer on Android |
| Step 3 | Add a site timer for the lobby |
| Step 4 | Set the limit on iPhone |
| Step 5 | Lock the limit with a PIN |
An app limit is a daily time cap that your phone enforces for you, which makes it different from a promise you keep with yourself. A session in the 666JILI lobby runs in your phone’s browser, so the browser is the thing to time. Google and Apple both give you a built-in way to do it, and this page follows their help pages step by step. Play is for adults of 21 and over.
App limit in five steps
- Choose the length first. Decide the session length from your spending limit that holds: for example, 45 minutes for a ₱250 session.
- Set an app timer on Android. Settings, Digital Wellbeing, App timers, then Set timer next to your browser.
- Add a site timer. In Digital Wellbeing, tap the chart, choose Chrome and tap Set site timer next to the website.
- Set the limit on iPhone. Settings, Screen Time, Time Allowances.
- Lock it with a PIN. On Android, turn on the App limits PIN and let someone you trust hold it.
Treat the 45 minutes as an example length. The only requirement is that you choose it before you play, and from your own plan.
App timer on Android with Digital Wellbeing
Google’s Android help page describes Digital Wellbeing as a way to see how you spend time on your phone and to set app timers. It adds that some steps may vary by phone, and that not every phone has the feature. If you cannot see it, look for Digital Wellbeing in your Settings app.
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Digital Wellbeing, then App timers.
- Next to the app you want to limit, tap Set timer.
- Choose how much time you can spend in that app, then tap OK.
Google’s page says that when you run out of time the app closes and its icon dims, and that app timers reset at midnight. To use the app again before midnight, you repeat the steps and delete the timer. Some work and school accounts might not work with app timers.
Site timer for one website in Chrome
A site timer limits one address instead of the whole browser.
- Open Settings and tap Digital Wellbeing.
- Tap the chart, then Chrome. If you do not find it right away, tap Show all apps.
- To see sites, tap Show sites, then Show. Websites you have visited appear with the time spent on each day.
- Next to the website you want to limit, tap Set site timer, choose a time and tap OK.
Screen time limit on iPhone
Apple’s iPhone User Guide describes Screen Time Time Allowances as a way to set how long you use apps each day, and Schedules as a way to set when. The page says you need iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or later to use Schedules and Time Allowances. If your iPhone is on an earlier version, update it first.
- Go to Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Screen Time, then tap Time Allowances.
- Under Time Allowances, tap a category such as Entertainment or Games, then drag the slider or tap the buttons beside it.
- To find where your browser sits, tap Manage Categories, tap a category, then tap an app; Apple’s page says this shows average daily use of the apps inside it.
To limit the hours rather than the minutes, use a schedule: Settings, Screen Time, Screen Time Schedule, then turn on Schedule, tap Add Schedule, choose the days and set the time window. The Always Allowed list keeps the contacts and apps you pick available regardless of your schedule.
App limits PIN, so the limit survives a bad evening
A limit you can remove in two taps is only a reminder. Google’s page describes an App limits PIN for exactly this.
- Open Settings, tap Digital Wellbeing, then App limits, then App limits PIN.
- Turn on PIN for app time limits.
- Enter your device PIN, password or pattern when the phone asks for it.
- Enter a unique 4-digit PIN for app time limits, then confirm it.
Google’s page says not to share the PIN once it is set up. Give it to a person who agrees to keep it and not to hand it back during a session. Apple’s guide links a separate page for creating, changing or removing a Screen Time passcode on iPhone.
The timer runs out and you delete it to keep going.
Treat deleting the timer as breaking your limit, not as a setting. Add the App limits PIN on Android and let someone else hold it, and make that person’s answer the end of the session.
You switch to another browser when the first closes.
Set a timer on every browser installed on the phone. On Android, Show all apps lists them; on iPhone, Manage Categories shows which apps sit in each category.
Pair the timer with a peso cap
A timer ends the session by the clock, and a written number ends it by the wallet. Use both: build the budget that gives play a fixed amount, then split it into session caps. If you often pass both, the DSM-5 gambling disorder signs are worth reading. The android games and screen time pillar covers other phone settings that keep a session tidy.
FAQ
What happens when an Android app timer runs out?
Google's help page says the app closes and its icon dims when you run out of time. Timers reset at midnight, and you can use the app again before then only by deleting the timer.
Can I limit one website instead of the whole browser on Android?
Yes. In Digital Wellbeing, tap the chart, choose Chrome, find the website in the list and tap Set site timer. A site appears in that list after you have visited it.
Does iPhone Screen Time have an app timer?
It uses Time Allowances, which set how long you can use apps each day, by category such as Entertainment or Games, plus a Screen Time Schedule for when. Apple's page says the newest features need iOS 27 or later.
